I see billionaires lining up with their hands out. They want the state to provide them with brand new facilities so that the value of their teams will double overnight. If I were a public official, I would refuse to even consider providing a stadium to a team except perhaps in exchange for an equity interest in the team. Unfortunately, too many public officials can be bribed to provide a stadium for more or less nothing.
This is the real welfare state in all its glory.

That is NOT the history of NFL (not) in L.A. The ONLY thing L.A. has ever done right was to ask the NFL how much it will pay L.A. to place a team there.
The State isn’t involved at all.
This is blackmail of SD by the Chargers. Expect it to work.
This relocation will not work.
