Over the last two innings of the Mets tense, one-run standoff with the Dodgers in the elimination Game 5 of the National League Division Series Thursday night, Mets fans felt the Fear. The Fear is always there for playoff games, of course; their win-or-face-a-long-cold-winter-of-the-Knicks finality is the central basis of their appeal. But for the Mets, in 2015, the Fear felt more acute. Amazing.
Lots of HR will be hit tonight.
Looks like Murphy has done it again!
Mr. October has nothing on Murphy.
Maybe the Cubs should think about pitching around him.
Might as well. DeGrom just pitched around Schwarber.
I REALLY REALLY hate to admit it but Murphy is playing extremely well. All the Mets apparently need is Murphy and their starting pitchers. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!
