It looked like it was a good game. I saw only some of it.
Not a lot of hits so far, but some good pitching, and it is looking like the Mets have the deepest starting pitching.
The Cubs bat have gone cold and Arrieta has come down to earth.
The Mets have played well and deserve their wins. (and I’m a Pirates fan who is pulling for the Cubs)
Most of the people in the stands looked like they were freezing their butts off. A friend of mine who lives near West Point, about 60 miles away said they actually had snow flurries up there. Global warming, donchya know. But yeah, LET’S GO METS!!

Where’s a little consideration for the novelty of “Back to the Future II” having been right about the Cubs winning the 2015 Series?
With temps in the upper 20s and holding steady at upper elevations through Monday, we lit up those guns from top to bottom Saturday night and into Sunday morning. The lower guns came off when the sun rose Sunday, but the snowmakers continued to pound T2, Upper Punch, and Ecstasy all day Sunday and into the night. Once temps drop again, you'll see those lower guns on Punch come back online, but for now we can promise you T2 for your Monday morning runs. But, as long as those temperatures hold, we'll keep making snow. In other words, when you show up for your earliest of early season runs, wear some Gore-Tex. Because it is snowing outside.Thanks to global warming or climate change or something taxable, this is the earliest opening in decades.

Hah! Forget the B movies. If the Cubs were up by 2 games in the Pennant series I’d have posted this in the Religion Forum.

The season is too long, IMO. Hard to remember that Sandy Koufax once scratched himself from starting a World Series game on Yom Kippur. Now the regular season isn’t over by Yom Kippur.

My grandson turned 3 yesterday and for our little dinner for him he wore a very sharp blue & orange plain shirt.
I knew that would bring good luck.
Now, I’m tempted to tell his parents to make him wear that same shirt for the next 2 weeks, but you know I don’t want to be THAT grandma.

Well..we’ll see, but I did hear about that and as a bona fide Mets fan I must say that’s pretty amazing in an of itself (that they’ve done so good so far).

Dude, tell that to the NHL, I bet they’d revive a lot of interest in their sport if it still ended before baseball started.
