The main way that Bush dealt with national security was to keep the southern border undefended. How many terrorists came across during his eight year tenure? Was he concerned at all with national security? Was he concerned when he de-commissioned all our MX missiles to court the Russians?

Trump opened up with bang on immigration but never bothered to tell us how he plans to identify, detain, house, and deport presumably using buses, trains, and airplanes some 11-20 million illegals to over 20 nations, and all in the face of a certain tsunami of federal injunctions.
It always about having the “best,” “most respected,” “so many wins” “good management,” etc. This feel good rhetorical fluff can last for only so long. At some point folks will be asking “Where’s the beef”?
Speaking of national security, how crazy was it when Bush's Homeland Security boss Chertoff was found to have people who entered the country illegally wandering around his residence? During war time?☺

All of the great presidents (well most anyway) were assholes in one way or another. If you were a striking Aircraft controller you may well have thought Reagan was an Asshole for firing you. Even Lincoln had his dark side. George Washington put down the Whisky Rebellion over a tax on booze. Trump may well be the Asshole we need right now.
