Underground Pizza smuggling Cartels....
Finnish police had better be on the lookout at airports for suitcases stuffed with Pizza.

One way to fight this attempt to turn us into pizza snitches: start reporting a bunch of bogus violations. Overwhelm their resources. We should find pizza places that are openly leftist and turn them in!

Grey market? Does that mean pizza is a cash-only business in that locale?

Food sold off the books at a lower price, generating revenue for the store but not taxes for the state.

Yes,

“...36.5 percent is spent on wages, 11.5 percent on VAT...”

A cash deal would cut the state out of their VAT and taxes on wages...:^)

That’s $6.83 in US dollars. CiCi’s Pizza has mediums for $5.99 and they’re making a profit. Pizza Hut’s medium is $6.99 and they’re making a nicer profit.

So are we.

When the economy is in the trash and the government is out of control, the black market thrives.

It starts with barter and under-the-table deals. Businesses get into the game and start to sell goods and services for cash (that they do not claim as income). More and more workers take jobs off the books.

Over the last two years, I’m starting to see it in our area. People are using FaceBook and CraigsList to get organized. Mechanics offering to wrench on peoples’ cars for low prices or trade.

This happens every time the government makes a muck of things. People find a way to get what they need without the Federal middle man getting in the way.

Just out of curiosity i had a look at the menu from a Large pizza chain in the high-street , just now.

A small (9.5") is between £4.99 and £7.99
A medium, (11") £9.99 and £15.99
A Large , (13.5") £11.99 and £17.99

This may give some indication as to the profit magins just over the northSea in Finland.
