I think that is an unfair comment. It is well documented that Kirsten Powers has been in numerous heterosexual relationships and I know of no evidence that there has ever been a lesbian one. Also, she is pro-life, a vigorous opponent of late-term abortions. I don’t agree with her on a lot of her (Democrat) policy advocacy, but she is a very smart, well-meaning person.

There appear to be a lot of “cultural” Catholics who don’t actually subscribe to the teachings of the Church regarding the culture of life, sin (including homosexuality), and morality.

Many women are not lesbians until they come out as one. Look at how many have been married with families and then leave their husbands for a girlfriend?
And being in the professional business of news media is a high risk environment, just as Hollywood is. You are submerged in the world view that to make yourself happy, regardless of any expense to others, is the highest goal in life.
The way this pope and his homosexualized Vatican are going, I’m expected the RCC to redefine marriage within the decade. All I’m saying is that Powers wouldn’t see herself joining an organization that will be an obstruction to such a goal.
I hope that Ms. Powers will be very happy if she joins the Catholic Church. I hope that she will find that the Church offers an intellectual, spiritual, and social home for her as she goes on through her life, and that she always experiences the presence of Christ in the Sacraments, in the community, and in the Bible.
If she ever wanders into St. Luke’s Evangelical Catholic Faith Community and Redneck Party Barn, especially for the Spanish Mass, I’ll be pleased to see her.
