Sarkisian did not attend the Trojans’ practice that began at 12:30 p.m. Upon learning of Sarkisian’s absence, Haden called him.

“It was very clear to me that he is not healthy,” Haden said.

Too bad this coach never learned to ‘save time in a bottle’.
You can’t be doing that; making public speeches for the team while slurring your words. Everyone immediately thinks you fell off the wagon.

Very sad to see a driven personality self destruct. He has the prayers of this family of Arizona fans.

Pat Haden’s not doing too well picking football coaches for USC.

How does someone with his severe issues ascend to such a position to begin with?

Expect Sarkisian to check into a rehab facility for alcohol and prescription drug addiction. He’ll be gone probably for the rest of this season and could be fired at the end of the season.

Haden’s wisdom might be questioned.

I think he will go after Sumlin at Texas A&M, if they get rid of Sark.

[Pat Haden’s not doing too well picking football coaches for USC.]

As a player at SC Haden was good. As AD not so. Until SC stops picking Girls’Beach Volley ball coaches, Dance Instructors and their Choreographers as defensive coaches and offensive blockers they are going to get the crap kicked out of them.
Have been a fan of SC since I saw my first college game...1944 SC-UCLA in the Coliseum. The SC Hardy boys were outstanding.

Or Chip Kelly if his Philly gig doesn’t work out. Texas A&M is a good job and they have alumni with lots of money.

Although he is revered as one of USC’s great quarterbacks, Haden has long been under fire from hard-core Trojan partisans. Fans on one online forum have dubbed him Bendulac—for Benedict Arnold plus Notre Dame du Lac, the full name of the home of the Fighting Irish, for whom he worked for years as a sportscaster.

Heard from some connected Husky fans that Sark’s issues started at Washington.

I would love to have been there on that sunny afternoon in late November, 1944 when the Trojans outlasted the Bruins 40-13.

I’d wondered how this disappointing season and other events was sitting with USC supporters, especially since Haden went against quite few who thought Ed Orgeron had shown he could be the head coach after Kiffen was fired.
