You’re all crazy for our British dramas and period-costume things.

I bet you all love “Downton Abbey”. You know I’ve never watched that myself!

If they follow the books, Uhtred will be portrayed as one badass but pragmatic hero with a very sarcastic sense of humor.

I will be watching-I love Cornwell’s books, and wouldn’t miss it-I have all the books in that series, and have read each one at least twice-and I just ordered the newest one from Amazon UK last week...

I will hold my breath until there’s a mention of St. Thomas Aquinas. The Middle Ages rule!

Looking forward to Dr. Who.

I really like Capaldi. Reminds me of the 3rd Doctor.

Recently, I gave in and watched the revamped Poldark. I liked it a lot. Somewhere I have the 1970s version.

FX’s The Bastard Executioner dragged through the first episode, but has improved since then.

It is worth watching.

I hope it is not as lame as the Bastard Executioner.

I wish there was a survival series like Jericho again.

All I need to know about the Middle Ages, I learned from Monty Python. Period.

Sorry, if there isn’t an interracial LGBT romantic storyline, I am going to have to pass.

in the 1960s i read a children’s(?) historical dramatization of everyday life in england during the beaker period. i wish i could recall the title of the book now. imho it was very realistic and would make a very decent basis for a historical drama tv series. iirc, at the time, there was relatively little information available in local libraries about the beaker people.
