ILL is going after the straw purcashers. An Indiana was sentenced to 3 years in jail for buying guns in Indiana and then driving to ILL to sell them. BUT he sold them to an ATF undercover agent so those didn’t get on the streets.
His entire rant from beginning to end was a litany of leftist gun control talking points.

The problem is the definition. Once you create a class of folks who are not allowed to have arms, the Gub’mint will continue to expand the definition of that class...

Every year, US law enforcement arrests hundreds of thousands of criminals, illegal aliens (but I repeat myself), legal immigrants, convicted felons, involuntarily committed mental patients, et al., who possess weapons in violation of federal law. Yet every year, the federal government prosecutes at most a few thousand cases of slam dunk firearms violations. It does next to nothing to investigate and prosecute those who knowingly provided firearms to perhaps millions of murderers, felons, druggies, children, and known lunatics.
How does Mr. Concerned Obama explain his lack of interest in prosecuting actual cases? Why doesn’t his administration experiment with enforcing existing federal firearms law?
Is it “common sense” to add yet more laws before enforcing existing laws?
Who’s gonna decide who SHOULD NOT HAVE firearms?
If you shouldn’t have a gun; then maybe you belong in
Bolivar on other considerations.

That is very true. They have already tipped their hand on that. Why do you think they call us “ gun nuts”? The Lautenburg amenment is a really example of how they operate. Next it will be anyone with a misdemeanor assault conviction or a DUI or who ever got a script for Xanax or an antidepressant. In time, they whittle down our numbers to a more managable level and then just take everything which is exactly what they want.
