I doubt this story too. I have known many people who are odd, crazy, ugly and/or scary that have managed to find a girlfriend. I would not be surprised if they are either lying, or hiding other reasons he might have had for the massacre.

I would not be surprised if they are either lying, or hiding other reasons he might have had for the massacre.
Asking people if they are Christian and then shooting to kill those who replied "yes" definitely hints at a different motive than the lack of a girlfriend.
