I’m pretty sure the Enquirer’s motto is: “What difference does it make - whether it’s true or not”, actually not too different than most sketchy publications these days, like Rolling Stone, Science, and all the rest of the once-respected publications that have turned full-bore “Progressive” propagandists.
About the time of the blue dress the NE became MORE reliable than the usual state organs like the NYT and the WP.
