Mark The Great One Levin had some kind words to say about Ted Cruz:
Ted Cruz is the most consistently conservative candidate running.
The conservative talker also blasted Mitch McConnell, the Republican Majority Leader in the Senate who recently shut down Ted Cruz when he used his time on the Senate floor to educate voters about the deceptive games McConnell and his ilk play.
Today we have a guy by the name of Mitch McConnell [...]. Hes got no class whatsoever. And he gets this really sick joy in trying to control the Senate floor within his own caucus. Harry Reid can do whatever he wants, Chuck Schumer can say and do whatever he wants, and all the rest of that [group] of leftwing cooks can do and say whatever they want. Barack Obama runs circles around Mitch McConnell and Republicans in the Senate. But he literally spends hours organizing the Republican caucus to shut down Ted Cruz. Because for Mitch McConnell its not about the country, its not about the Constitution, its personal.
And Cruz has done more to expose that man and expose the cronyism and corruption of the United States Senate and that process than anybody else in the United States Senate.
And so, Levin explained, McConnell has decided to block each and every single attempt of the senator from Texas to get anything worthwhile done.
Levin went on to say that Cruz comes under attack for the simple reason that hes actually a principled conservative.
Kasich wont come under attack, because hes a go-along. Bush wont come under attack, hes a go-along. We dont want a go-along, we need leaders, we need the Churchills and the Thatchers and the Reagans.
And, clearly, the Cruzes of this world.
Levin also went after Rand Paul, saying...

Senator Cruz is the sleeper here. Watch him.
If Carson continues in 2nd spot in the polls, it might be that he would get the VP nod. My only concern is which swing states he could pull in. We know that Cruz will bring in the Bible belt but, I’m not sure he could pull in swing states either.
Carson, in particular, would not bring a single state as VP.
Truth is, the days when a VP candidate could ‘bring a state’ seem long gone. Who was the last one?
I like him a lot, too - or at any rate, I like his positions. I don’t know whether it’s his delivery or personality that makes it hard to warm up to him and see him as a leader. That is, he’s a leader, but at the same time, he doesn’t seem to know how to get the loyalty of the troops or be able to intercede on their behalf with the higher ups.
I completely agree that “reaching across the aisle” is a waste of time, but the problem is that he doesn’t have a lot of GOP support on his own side of the aisle either. I think if he could exercise a bit more of a charm offensive, he might get more GOPers, including RINOs, on his side. Gingrich was able to do it, but he’s a much more charming personality.
That said, I’d vote for Cruz without hesitation if he gets to be the candidate.
I don’t know the answer to that. Wish I did. The VP is traditionally the attack dog - but Trump does his own attacking. So, I think Cruz would be better at that - they would make a great wrecking ball team.
Trump would likely need a VP who had a good relationship with Congress.
And it doesn’t take a bunch of mental manipulation or dishonesty with self to accept him without guilt.
I like him too. He’s my first choice and has been all along.
I said the same thing about him 5 months ago here and got “flamed” as an idiot.
He does best when he sticks to the facts and doesn’t try to be funny. He seem better then. Yesterday’s speech was pretty good! “More like that Ted.”
I sincerely wish he didn’t have that problem. I’ll still take him, though.
Well there is always Hillary to vote for.
what is kelo?
Yeah, I agree.
Here’s the deal. It’s looking awfully bad over there in the ME. This is what everyone has been worried about. The Carter fiasco started about this time before the election the following year.
The next president is going to have his hands full. We need a bas*ard in the WH.
It's like the line from Game of Thrones: "Kings are either butchers or meat."
Put Palin in at Dept of Energy, what a team.
I think we will see cruz rise in the polls as the
campaigns progress.
Right now the media is shutting him out in hopes that
Trump will self destruct if given enough coverage.
Cruz is building a solid base and organization well
prepared to run the long race.
Cruz 2016.
Cruz for VP. His judgment has proven to be very bad when it comes to actually doing something like voting, i.e. choosing the best path to where he knows we should go. I trust Trump’s judgment more if he has a solid Constitutionalist as his nr 2.
This is a decision so bad that even most liberals oppose it, as well as virtually all conservatives and libertarians. But Trump enthusiastically supports it.
Oh... Yes...how could I forget. Well, he’s a builder. He probably feels that he can do better for the people if he has control of a certain parcel over someone else.
My only neg thus far is his support for ethanol.
Cruz is the only conservative candidate running.
