Look at the ratings for Erin Burnett’s Trump interview.

Its more than a bit obvious that Fox needs Trump, not the other way around.

Thats what people said last cycle. I get your point and I understand your reasoning. But I really believe that we are at the point now.

Who but a liberal actually believes the news? Even right wingers see it as professional wrestling. You get your news where? FR. So do I. Millenials arent watching TV. They are where Done rules. Twitter/Facebook. Grannies too.

So who actually ‘depends’ on TV in 2015? Nobody. At the least, TV ads and facetime should be a secondary concern. I said this a long time ago...Palin, love or hate her, DROVE WEEKS of TV news with single posts on facebook. Drove it.

To this day when she speaks, the MSM does it’s EF Hutton immitation. And she speaks from the net.

I was a reporter/Ed in the print industry over a decade after I left ORC. I watched editors and publishers discount the importance and power of the internet. On my first day, our paper had 4 sections and 50ish pages filled with ads. On my last day it was one section with several ads for our paper. All the casino and local ads had gone online. And that was half a decade ago. Before Twitter and Farcebook became the giants they are today.

Fortune favors the brave. My opinion of Trump aside, he’s brave. And I don’t think he needs TV a fraction of how desperately TV needs him.

So to these newspeople...."listen" to yourselves sometimes....and I mean it....pull the tapes and review YOUR behavior.

Most all keep a fresh air-check handy. But they're looking at the superficials, which is why things are the way they are in TV.

“...even though she really doesn’t have a clue to what she’s talking about when it comes to tax revenues.”

And with all her years on CNBC she should know just as much if not more than your average investor. I knew she wasn’t qualified to replace Ron Insana; he got railroaded out to make room for...a womyn.

EB never could hold a candle to Insana.

I realize there’s apparent risk in it, but when you look where the eyeballs and influence are, what’s apparent isn’t always what’s reality.

I mean look at the debates. The vast majority of articles about them prior was about like reading the hype for wrestlemainia. Or an MMA match. Few pwople watched for anything but the spectacle and were we not entertained? We learned nothing from those exercizes in bread and circuses but the MSM made a fortune to kick back into the propaganda machine and DNC coffers.

No one watching never heard of Trump before that night. He’s trump. They watched to see what he was gonna do. Bodyslam Kelly or Tombstone her. Maybe throw her over the top rope.

So why bother? He can do all that online without helping fund their attacks. Make them come to him.

Just to add...

Look at what happened to HuffPo and that idiot’s cunning plan to banish him to the entertainment section. How’d that work out?

The MSM IS the entertainment section. Use it. Abuse it. But you don’t need it when you have 9 figure F’ You money to spend destroying it....and then earn hero status for destroying it besides.

I predict another boycott or feud with FNC in the next 7-10 days.

Most people are not political junkies like Freepers. They come home from work and sit down and turn on the TV. They get most of their news from the Cable News stations like Fox, CNN and MSNBC.

The millenials are all in for internet. My two nieces do not even own TV’s. Everything is on the internet.

I predict Trump will say he wasn’t treated fairly.

Then why are dish/cable providers reporting an existential exodus?

I’ll tune in for the Trump segment and then tune out. Hannity is the only one who has been fair to all the candidates.

Works for me...and I agree, only Hannity has really been fair. He may not be the very brightest bulb over there (but no dummy by any means), but his is by far the most ethical and decent of the Fox employees who have a show (or run the network).

Do you think FUX wants to treat Trump or Cruz fairly?

NO WAY, one reason I want both on the same ticket, FUX heads would explode.

Yes I have heard a lot of folks are turning off the cable. But lets just be real for a minute. We both know that the vast majority of Americans have cable TV and that’s what they watch.

Used to. If they were still doing it there would not be the exodus. They are watching hulu and netflix more than standard TV. The numbers are what they are. More cord cutting by the hour. Their TVs are net capable now.

I just spoke with my Mom and she said her best friend just called her and said Megyn Kelly will no longer be on Fox News. I don’t know where she heard it but Meggie was on Vacay last night I think. Interesting. And Ailes and Trump are not talking about their meeting.
