I , also think so. However, there are those on this forum that will defend their actions to the bitter end.

Back in my younger days, I believed that the police were your friend. In fact, I even taught my children, do not be afraid of the police. The police are your friends. And at that day and time, they were.

How things have changed! Just based on my interaction[s] with them and I have violated no law, I now advise my grandchildren to avoid all contact with them that is possible.

Your experience precisely reflects mine.
Just try casually chatting with a police officer in the town center about a local topic just to be friendly. Good luck!
There really is no practical reason for a decent and law-abiding person to interact with a police officer any longer.
So much for the community policing concept to win hearts and minds...
