I’ve heard 1/3 of the colonists were for independence from Britain, 1/3 were followers and 1/3 were crown loyalists.
The problem 1/3... I’m not surprised.
Not the same 1/3; rebellion is now taboo in a country founded by it, and for good reason. Rebellion is an unsustainable model, as the French learned.
