For a colloidal silver generator you need a 1 pint fruit jar, three heavy duty 9V plugs (get at Radio Shack) two alligator clips (one red, one black) three 9V batteries and a 99% pure 1 OZ (we use Johnson Matthews) silver bar. Instructions for assembly are on YouTube.
I use a Radio Shack 13.5/30 volt AC adapter set on 30 with 9999 silver wire. I run the wire through a circle of styrofoam covering a quart Ball jar and then check the liquid with a red laser to make sure something's happening. If I couldn't get the wire, I'd probably use a couple of Maple Leafs.
Two eyedropper applications into the ladyfriend's nostrils while she was lying down cured a chronic sinus problem. Of course, the first time she did it, it hurt like hell. Guess the bacteria weren't anxious to lose their happy home.
