if SHTF, certain groups will be all about rape...it'll be their highest priority...not food...not water...not shelter...just rape....and it won't be of their own community...it'll be anyone caught still in the city or near enough to get to....

Saving yourself from this with a method that also saves others will be a very close second priority. That's why I like the lead-and-brass solution to feral problems.
