Hey anyone....on my Windows 8 laptop will the recovery partition be wiped out if I install Windows 10?

There is a program called Macrium. You can get a free edition here

http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.aspx

This program allows you to create an image of your entire disk as one huge file. If your disk gets messed up but lets say Windows 10, you can use Macrium to restore the disk image back onto the original disk as if nothing happened. I use it at work all the time...

Yes it will so it’s best to image the drive first using a tool like Acronis. Also, after upgrading you have the option of rolling back to Windows 8 within one month (did so successfully while evaluating the Preview version) an the rollback restores the Win8 recovery partition.

To the best of my knowledge, no. My laptop is an Acer win7 64bit, went to Win10, and restored it to Win7 afterward using the stock Acer recovery partition. YMMV.
