No I don’t. Given the information it is a foolish premise.

Even an autistic person knows how to avoid getting hurt. They can learn to associate hitting a baby with an azz kicking.

The problem is they get coddled and indulged too much. The parents want to mainstream them while hiding behind “He’s handicapped” when the kid messes up too much. The WORST thing you can do for an autistic child is let them get immersed in rapid brain technology and every autistic kid I know has an iPad to keep them “quiet”. It just feeds all the bad traits(anti-social, obsessive, improper brain transition)

I an Aspie and my saving grace was that I was obsessed with reading.

The kid can’t help his mental deficiencies but can be held accountable for behavior.

The parents *can* help not punishing their child for assault.

The way to look at this is from the flip side. The boy's parents can't handle him so that need has to be addressed for his own safety as well as the safety of the community at large.

Eventually, he'll assault a stranger ... and get a bullet between his eyes.

And the do-gooders will weep and wail and carry on about how he was really a good boy at heart ... so caring and sweet ...

Good comment. What are the options for parents of a kid they can’t control ... and I don’t mean beating the hell out of him.

Sorry, life got busy here. Options .....not many. Parents can request placement by Dr in a psych facility ( there are some really good places that work only with children) but, as I said these are high end places that can cost thousands of dollars a month and insurance does not cover.

Some parents have terminated their parental rights This was the only option available for my family member to get her son the treatment he needed.

Other parents that have adopted out of foster care and found themselves in tragic unworkable situations have dissolved the adoption or gone to a sort of clearing house to find a new family to “’re-home” these kids.

Some have abandoned their children on hospital doorsteps. Very sad
