In spite of the deliberately incendiary title, the essayist explores some thought-provoking issues concerning Islam. It's a long but well written piece, one that by no means is politically correct. Penned by a man born in Alexandria, Egypt to what he calls an average Muslim family, he began a "long journey of seeking the truth" and was unable to "reconcile the prescriptions for domination, violence, and slavery" of Islam.

This sounds more like a racial slur than a real intellectual discussion. But don’t write it off hastily... Everything deserves a scrutiny, even things that on the surface seem preposterous and potentially explosive.... Empathy is what defines our humanness. Technically, if you do not have empathy, or what is known as brotherly love, or Christian love, you can’t be qualified as a fully evolved human... Every human is potentially capable of becoming a Mother Teresa. We have to focus on our children, shower them with love and pay attention to them so they develop their sense of empathy and evolve as fully humans. This explains why some people are evil. Why some become monsters like Muhammad, Genghis Khan, Zarqawi, and other mass murderers, rapists and serial killers... Muslims believe to be oppressed and humiliated because they live in Muhammad’s narcissistic bubble universe. They reflect his lack of self-esteem, his feeling of rejection, his paranoia, his vengefulness, his megalomania, and his desire to subdue, to dominate and to control... The crimes committed by Muhammad make Son of Sam look like a simple felon. How can any human call a man so despicable as Muhammad a prophet of God and follow him?

No other religion obligates followers to kill disbelievers.

That's a fact but the liberals give them a total pass on that part of their "theology". I think the leftist is willfully blind because of their seething hatred of Judeo-Christianity.

After the most recent incident of Islamo-fascists murdering Christians or American citizens, I went over to DummyUnderground to check the feelings of the inmates there.

Amazingly enough, a number of them had no compunctions about calling the Mozzie scum what they were. Of course, there were still numbers of diehard Dummies who refused to condemn the murderers ("they were forced to slaughter those people by the west").

But it was semi-encouraging to see that not all lefties are totally crazy. I'm looking for any glimmer of hope that they're not total wastes of oxygen.
