Is 2 tenths of a degree beyond the margin of error?
The temperature was average here in Georgia. Last summer was cooler than normal so this summer seemed warmer.
Cinder planet Earth!
August in Indiana had an average temp of 84! It’s been a relatively cool summer here, compared to times passed.
Nope, the dog was quite happy here.
Didn’t they declare 2014 as the hottest year on record? B one or two hundredths of a degree. And when they were challenged about their 100% certainty they reduced it to 35% because 2 hundredths of a degree was not out of the degree of error?
20 straight at 100 plus!!!? Holy crap!
This summer in Wisconsin has actually been cooler than average. No one hundred degree days and not many ninety degree days. I’m denying hot weather in other places, but it sure hasn’t been overly warm here.
Yeah. Kids jumped in ours the other day and yelled.....whew!! Lol
We have a boat in the harbor there and yeah it’s been hot. Was 90 inside the boat the other day but!!...... It has nothing to do with global warming, climate change or whatever. We had a weather pattern that was blowing the tail end of Linda up on us.
I’ve been there in December when it was 90 because of Santa Ana’s too.
Bull. I don’t recall any records being set this summer here in my part of NC.
Ah yes, the Santa Ana’s. I think more about annoying wind, rather than the temperature.
I always feel sorry for kids - and teachers - in school during the fall heat.
Most of the schools have no air conditioning.
Some summers, here in Ventura County, we actually have no summer heat! But we can get heat in the fall.
Makes life interesting.
Are you in Ventura or Oxnard Harbor, if you don’t mind - - - ?
OK Let’s see..
Summer 1998 I called my sister and told her I was seeing 108ºF in the back yard here.
This year I think 101ºF was our highest, maybe 102º. Last year I know 102º, maybe 103º. Nothing over 104º that I remember here or north Louisiana the past 8 to 10 years or so. If it hit 105º I might have not known it.
This is definitely not true, this has not been the hottest year on record anywhere I know of.
Truth is, things are cooling down. I’ve posted about this on several threads. The sun recently entered a repeating cycle of reduced activity and sunspots, we can expect much more of the harsh winters we’ve seen the past 2 years. This happens in regular cycles every 206 years. Historically the minimum cycles have been known as mini ice ages.
Look up Maunder minimum and Dalton minimum. Those were the most recent two. Both called mini ice ages, and you may have even heard about the harsh weather conditions. Notice I said weather, not climate. These solar cycles do cause temporary climate change, that results in extreme weather patterns.
This has been going on for billions of years, and we can do absolutely nothing to stop it or make it any more intense than it already is. It’s controlled by the sun. Nothing we can do about that. The climate change alarmists have only one agenda. Separate you from more of your money.
Ventura Harbor. That’s the problem in the harbor. Hotter than heck, no ac, and no shade at all to escape. I actually got in my car and went to Lowes just to have ac for awhile. After I walked up and down the aisles at Lowes for awhile I hit Chipotle. When I got back to the boat it had cooled off outside enough that you could sit in the cockpit. I slept with all the hatches open since it was still warm inside.
You have been pinged because of your interest in environmentalism, alarmist wackos, mainstream media doomsday hype, and other issues pertaining to global warming.
