Put her fat butt back in jail. I'm sure Mitch McConnell, or another Kentucky Democrat, will pull some strings and get her an early release.

You sure know how to confuse an issue.

How about you get the whole story?

So? That Gov. of GA who gave that memorable speech at the 2004 GOP convention was a Democrat too. (Damnit I’m on break at work and forgot his name)

Sounds more like a conversion than hypocrisy.

There are many Dems who are pro 2nd Amendment, but still vote for the Dims.

We knew she was a democrat from the beginning. I admire her for taking a stand over one thing that she actually has some control over (licenses for same-sex “marriages”). And, having the backbone to take the negative consequences of her stand. Few people do that.

She has divorced 3 times, and claims to have “found” Jesus recently. Unlikely. She has some other agenda, perhaps a book deal, perhaps political sabotage. Look for the money.

Are you aware that Billy Graham is a Democrat and so were my parents. My parents were very ultra conservative and Prolife. They belonged to the Kennedy Democrats. My parents did change party when Bill Clinton became President. They saw that their Democrat Party is no longer the same party when they were young.

It is no different in asking how can a Christian support the Republican Party that supports Globalism.

Jailing a person based on party affiliation? That is a dark road.

You realize that a Democrat in that part of rural Kentucky is probably more conservative than 95% of the Republicans in Washington today, don’t you?

Any idea where she goes to church? I personally thought the same thing regarding her “faith” and her democrat leaning. Maybe she is in a family of life long democrats and the job was hers for the taking. Maybe this was a purposeful test case to muddy the water some more. Who knows? JMO. . .I don’t know all the facts.

For me it’s not about standing up for Kim Davis or anyone in particular. It’s about standing up for the rule of law and the Constitution and standing against the black-robed supremes overstepping their authority.

...Kim Davis announced that she is a life-long Democrat.

That fact has been out since the beginning. Why did you support her without facts?

Who else to support in ignorance?

People’s views change. Gradual change is far more common than a sudden epiphany that changes every view you’ve ever held. A change of long held political views can lag behind a change of heart too. That may indicate some confusion but is confused thinking hypocrisy?

A lot of Democrats I know are Democrats because they treat political affiliation like sports affiliation.

They have absolutely NO clue about the issues or the ramifications.

And if you try to discuss issues with them, they just shut you off. It would be like trying to convince a Steeler fan to no longer be a Steeler fan. Or any sports fan for that matter. (Just using Steeler fans as an example - not equating them with Democrats.)

We recently moved to rural WV, which I suspect is a lot like KY.

People are very conservative. They generally vote R in fed (with exceptions). State elections can go either way. Local elections are almost all D.

Part of it is tradition. Part of it is residual unionism. Part of it is there isn’t as much local Republican organization. People here are openly pro-life and openly Christian almost to a person.

It’s perplexing to an outsider. Having come from a D stronghold (Cleveland) I will say that the Democrats here are more conservative than the Republicans in NE Ohio.

For now, these rural areas are still pretty far removed from DC’s influence and I suspect that has a lot to do with the disconnect between the local Dems and the national party.
