“Obama Care costs more than the penalties.”

But I thought 85% of the enrollees were getting subsidized.

That was a sarcastic reply by the way.

Some have opted for health share plans, which average around $200/month.

And the only people that saw this coming were a bunch of racists that denigrate everything Obama does...

It was more about uninsuring the insured (those who “had it too good)
than it was about insuring the uninsured.

Price hikes? Unpossible!! I’m still waiting for the $2,500 Uncle Bam promised me....every year!

A test question for you.

Why were health care plans allowed as an exemption to Obamacare?

In its latest enrollment report, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services says 9.9 million were still enrolled in ObamaCare exchange plans.

Anybody seen an audit that backs up those numbers?

Think the government might be lying about these figures like it fudges the numbers concerning employment, spending and inflation?

Not anymore.

I don’t get the civil disobedience angle. You can enroll in a health sharing minisrty for less than half of what a deathcare premium will cost you, skip the penalty, and its perfectly legal.

I keep praying for Obamacare to be killed or to die a natural death. I hope one or the other happens soon.

I thought it was required by law. Why is enrollment down? Civil disobedience perhaps?

I recently friended an old, old classmate of mine on Facebook, one whom I hadn't seen since elementary school. She's a single mom in a not well-paying job, with a couple of small children. (All this I inferred from reading her page.)

Recently, she's been making posts about a child that needed a special operation, and how she started a Go-Fund Me page and all of that. I wished her well, but asked no more questions. I couldn't help but think, "Wasn't Obamacare supposed to solve situations like this?"

Did you remind them that it's mandatory to be enrolled? Did you remind them to pay the fine? Did you remind them that they voted for this crap and that conservatives and Republicans said long ago that it wouldn't work?

Yes.
The penalty will double this year & triple next year, and it’s still cheaper than paying sky high premiums for high deductible “coverage”

But I thought 85% of the enrollees were getting subsidized.

The CMS report mentioned in the article says that 56% or over 5.5M signups get additional Cost Sharing reductions for being under 250% FPL

Among Libs this will just generate even louder cries for single payer. Part of the plan.

For my HORRIBLE plan I pay $5000 a year with a $6500 deductible.
$9000 for my whole family of 3.
None of this counting the 2016 price increases.

It’s all the people who pay nothing that are making the burden on payers.
People do all they can to qualify for the dole.

Take what percentage 95 million is from the USA 325 million population and you get your real unemployment rate.
I think it is near 29% and we are truly in a Great Depression with social programs.

[Why were health care plans allowed as an exemption to Obamacare?]

I believe some of the health shares were originally designed to help missionaries and clergy pay health costs. They were functioning years before Obamacare came about.
