I would say both Obama and Trump have confused our system of government with a Monarchy....maybe authoritarianism has lead to success in the private sector where the goal is pretty straightforward (gather all the chips on the table)
but Im not so sure it a successful strategy for a President who will have 2 other co equal branches of Government to contend with.
Trump praises everyone who’s nice to him. It’s called being gracious. Why is being polite a scandal?
There are many celebrities that are pop cultural icons and inventions and as with him, life imitates art.
But they, too, are not fit to be the president of the U.S.

I’ve listened to Hewitt off and on over the years, and got the impression that he wasn’t that conservative.
He’s on the Salem Radio Network, which prides themselves on their conservative talk show line up. But not sure how at home Hewitt is there.

Maybe its just the way he comes across but his attitude is similar to Barack’s in that HE is going to make things happen and He is going to make America great.
I would say its WE Americans who will make America great if the government gets out of our way.

I think all Trump needs to do is remind people of what is already on the books and propose to do do what all Presidents are sworn to do which is enforce the laws.

You are missing some very vital points. Cruz is a great guy and would probably make a good president. However, he doesn’t have cross over appeal. By that I mean he is considered too far right to pull in some moderates or even Democrats. The HIspanic vote alone will not get anyone elected. It was said that even if Romney had received 70% of the Hispanic vote in 2012 - he wouldn’t have won. Your figures and thinking are faulty.

Salem is an outfit that aims at a conservative audience but their hosts, Hugh Hewitt and Michael Medved in particular, are hard core GOP establishment mouthpieces. Those two were bashing tea party Tim Donnelly in the last gubernatorial primary and they were pushing Neel Kashkari, the Obama voting, abortion and gay marriage endorsing GOPe hindu.

Call them the New Nativists. The Know Everythings. Appallingly arrogant, insufferably elitist, wildly disconnected from every day Americans and profoundly impressed by a presumed intellectual and moral superiority that others find decidedly un-conservative at best and bigoted at worst — some of Donald Trump’s critics have not only gone around the bend they have jumped the shark. And some of the anti-Trump criticism is tied tight to an illegal immigration movement that is — it needs to be said — flat out racist. Determined to remake an America based on color-blind principles of freedom and liberty into a balkanized country.
