James Bond writer says Adrian Lester would be a better Bond than Idris Elba; Twitter explodes; Update: Horowitz apologizes
Folks are furious today at Anthony Horowitz, the British novelist chosen by Ian Fleming’s family to continue write James Bond novels, and some comments he made about the appropriateness of black actor Idris Elba as the next James Bond. First up, here is what Horowitz is quoted as saying in an interview he gave to the Daily Mail:

Yeah, James West was white until Will Smith came along. That was a big hit wasn't it?
The new Fantastic 4 went multiracial as well. (The movie is crap by the way and would have been regardless of the cast).
If Bond goes black, it's just not Bond anymore, and I wont follow it there. I'd rather wait for the Caucasian version of Shaft.

I agree to an extent, but it’s the point of things.
If you went by tv and movies, you’d think America was 70% Black and that White Christians and businessmen were all evil.
That, or that all White husbands were fat and boderline retarded. Luckily they have their awesome wife and hip/wise cool Black friend.
