Well, keep rolling your eyes. The ratings of future episodes will tell the tale, but I, and others thought the first episode was pretty bad. The last half hour improved somewhat, but I was thinking that the teenage son could be like the old Star Trek campaign about Wesley Crusher - space the kid.
So you want to talk Wesley Crusher...that would be Carl. There have been so many episodes where I wanted to scream at the screen when he’s doing anything.
As far as Walking in general, it’s never been perfect, even terrible at times. In fact, the acting, story and pacing have downright sucked on occasion.
My husband and I both thought the premiere episode was okay...it held our interest enough to keep us watching, at least for now.
I didn’t really go into it expecting another TWD, which is a rare coming-together of all the right elements-—casting, writing, etc. It’s hard to duplicate that.
