It's history, the man was real, we exemplified greatness and Trump sounds a lot like him
dude, you didn’t do so well in analogy, did you.....or reading comprehension.
Brush up on both and get back to me....
“And while Patton was an outstanding General, he was a horrible public administrator”.
He wasn’t bad, actually. He used the right Germans for particular jobs and got in trouble for not following “DeNazification” to the letter.
He didn’t want American occupation troops to be street sweepers or sewer cleaners.
Thanks for posting. America’s finest. Leaders. Non-politicians.
Hold your breath and I’ll get back to you.
I guess you are right.
Anyone rising to the level of Major General in the Army knows how to be an administrator.
But, every tool in the toolbox has a purpose. You need to make sure you are using the correct tool for the job.
You’re right.
Trump’s belief that growing government by raising taxes is a non starter. He’s jumped on the big government, class warfare liberal train.
I liked Patton’s comment about when he flew over Germany’s ruins: “I now know what Hell looks like from the top.”
If Trump gets in, I hope he says the same thing as he flies over the GOP-e.
Thank you. At least there are a few sane ones left here who didn’t join the Trump Cult.
LOL
Actually I think you can improve on your comparison.
Yesterday a single post announced that Trump is our new Washington, Reagan, and Putin (!).
Claiming that he’s only Patton is doing a disservice to his shining magnificence.
When we were in a terrible war and needed a destoyer, we had Patton. We are not in war. We need a builder. We have Trump.
I don’t know of any sane liberal sympathizers......
With all due respect concerning your comment about Trumps decade long support of democrats, Ronald Reagan was once a registered democrat and supported them as well as a union leader.
I think very highly of Reagan and am not sold on Trump, but look at what the GOP has given us, next to nothing in my opinion, people are sick of it, we elect these alleged conservatives and they do nothing.
Dear Lord, I pray that You would send us a leader and help us to turn from our wicked ways, and heal our land.
Patton was on TV yesterday, only saw the last hour his race to Bastone, I shed a tear two times in that hour. What a country this was, and what great men it once produced, gone with the wind.
I saw it yesterday and also shed a few tears thinking exactly the same thing.
What is interesting about the Patton movie was that they had General Omar Bradley as an adviser. He was there and knew Patton quite well. That made the movie even more authentic.
