Outlook font help
8/28/15

Posted on 08/28/2015 7:46:58 AM PDT by pabianice

I am using Outlook as part of Office 2003. When I open a new email page, the font automatically sets to Arial 10. How can I change this to open in another font and size? Thanks.

Under Options, choose Mail Format tab. You can make changes there.

I have Office 2013. It is better then 2003. The cost is not much as you will not be upgrading for another 12 years : )

Windows XP and Vista NOT supported. Office 2013 is one time cost. Office 365 is a perpetual subscription of $99 a year or $69.99 if a student.

Compare. Some versions do not include Outlook.

Office Home & Business 2013 does include Outlook $219.99
Microsoft has the same product in different packages with some as subscription and others tied to 1 pc only. If you have a student or you have a school id then you can pay much less.

Your company may also qualify you for a huge discount.
Office Professional – Buy the DVD for about $30 w/tax instead of the download $9.95 which you cannot save.
This version is the full version. You would need a program code from your company. Enter your work email to see if you qualify.

How can I change the font settings for the Navigation Pane?

My PC is running XP. I know I will have to get a new PC with a new op system but can’t afford it, esp. with the cost of putting all the Win 7 compatible s/w into it. The s/w in my XP is worth thousands of dollars.

Unless you are an enterprise, you don't necessarily have to have an "in support" version if what you have fits your needs. Frankly, I still hate the ribbon and in many ways find Office 2003 better laid out (though I do use Office 2013 for other reasons, along with WordPerfect X6). Heck, I suspect taht Adobe CS4 is ALSO out of support, but I am NOT going to move to their subscription model.
