DOZENS OF PEOPLE were found dead in a truck on an Austrian motorway today.
It is understood they suffocated to death.
Police in Austria have said the deceased were migrants but it is not yet clear how long they had been in the lorry.
According to local reports, between 20 and 50 bodies were discovered in the vehicle. It was found on a parking strip off the highway in Burgenland. It had been there since Wednesday and initial indications are that the driver fled.
Channel 4 News International Editor Lindsey Hilsum is at the scene and has been tweeting about the forensic work being done on site. She has also given a sense of the terrible smell of death that has surrounded the area.
Forensic examiners will need a number of days to secure evidence from the scene.
At a press conference, Interior Minister Johanna Mikl-Leitner said the “tragedy affects us all deeply”.
“Human traffickers are criminals. Anyone still thinking that they’re kind helpers cannot be helped.”
The horrific find comes as Europe tries to get to grips with an influx of migrants from war and poverty torn states in the Middle East and Africa.
So far in 2015, a record number of people have braved long sea and land journeys in attempts to enter EU states.
An investigation is being launched which will include police from Hungary.
Meanwhile, Angela Merkel has said the “horrible” event is a warning to Europe to deal with the crisis.
“We were all shaken by the horrible news that up to 50 people died… although these were people coming to seek safety,” Merkel said in Vienna. “This is a warning to work to resolve this problem and show solidarity”.

Should have been couched as a warning to the invaders.
The Euros should be picking them up as they come in and shipping them back South — in trucks just like this one.
The west has to do something about this invasion, for ALL sides concerned.

The only problem these EURO-libs have is phony outrage against human traffickers. They have no problem with the people who are actually being smuggled into Germany, Austria etc. Meaning Muslims such as from Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and blacks from Africa
For the most part, Europeans have a great lifestyle. But they won’t keep it because they won’t defend it. There are literally billions of people who would like to come....and hundreds of millions may come if they are not forced away. I read these articles about people looking at this crisis and saying “We have to help and be welcoming”. That is the human thing to do, but it is also the wrong thing to do.
The US is in the same boat.
The “problem” is the native Europeans making noise about the loss of their identity, culture, and ultimately their very existence.
The elites are trying to replace the native people with an influx of non westerners, who will tolerate
a) a far lower standard of living coupled with very high taxes, and
b) no voice in civic matters or how they are governed.
The elites prefer a cowed populace that obeys orders and does not make a fuss. So far their plan has progressed famously.
“The elites” deserve a long drop on a short rope.
The problem is shortage of air conditioned buses for illegal invaders.
It’s my sincere hope that the people responsible for destroying the American middle class and attempting to reduce us to serfdom are punished in my lifetime.
Those people are called the Elites.
They see us as human cattle, to be herded, controlled, and ultimately eliminated.

These "human traffickers" are criminals, but no more so than the human cargo who hire their services to abet their own crimes.
Migration from South to North must END. Completely. Walls and mass deportations, box cars and airplanes. whatever it takes.
Yes, it does. Frau Merkel might equip a revived Schutzstaffel with a fleet of trucks to "transport" the Muslim guests from their frontier crossing points. No matter how pacific the Europeans appear, the old darkness still lurks in their bones. As it does in everyone.

That vehicle must be built like a tank or a battleship.
Maybe the fleeing driver left the motor on and fumes were the cause of all these deaths?
