Is Jeb still in the running?
Politics as usual is being given a big “thumbs down” by the rank and file Republican voters, and by Americans in general.

And “cold” is the operative factor here.
It cost a LOT of money to win the Republican nomination. It’s not only about ideas, it’s about money.
President Gingrich. NOPE.
President Pat Buchanan. NOPE.
Without money, you’re gone.
Only 2 candidates with 100 million+, until that changes, there’s only 2 candidates.
The GOP has been the party of, by, and for big money donors since Reagan left office. Reagan was an anomaly. People forget or are too young to know that Reagan was not the choice of the establishment. He was a conservative challenger.
The GOPe tries to create rules for the nominating process that insures that their chosen candidate will win. Jeb! Bush is this year’s choice of the misnamed US Chamber of Commmerce and the rest of the no borders treason lobby. That’s why he has had no trouble raising dramatically more money than all of the other candidates.
Early this year the GOPe knew that Jeb! would have only two real challengers- Cruz and Walker. And maybe Rand Paul. And even though they didn’t have any money to speak of they had something Jeb! completely lacks, and that’s popular support among actual voters. So they came up with the plan of diluting Cruz and Walker’s potential support by flooding the primary with all of the rest of the candidates that we now see. Jeb! may not have much support, but by flooding the zone everyone else would have even less.
The one thing that they weren’t expecting is Donald Trump. The Donald is The Jeb’s! worst nightmare. He has all the money he needs. He has attracted actual voter support, not the party hack variety that Team Jeb! counts on. He’s not a Tea Party conservative but he appears to be a patriot and for some that’s close enough. Team Jeb! was prepared to defeat Cruz and Walker by diluting the primary vote and outspending them. Team Jeb! had already counted on the nomination being theirs without a real fight. But now that’s all changed. It won’t be easy because the nominating process is still geared towards delivering the nomination to the chosen GOPe insider, but Donald Trump has a real chance of blowing this wide open. Enjoy this primary while you can, you won’t see anything like it again.
