A-57-year old Nigerian man divorced his wife on the grounds that she was preparing his food very late at night, Emarat Al Youm reports, quoting news websites.

The report names the man as Oolovada Adikoaa and he told a court in Lagos that his wife failed to fulfil her marriage duties.

She did not prepare the food on time, although he warned her many times.

“There is no reason for pushing me to continue in a relationship with a woman who makes me starve, I can no longer tolerate it," he is quoted as saying.

The 25-year-old wife refuted the accusations, accusing her husband of wanting to live with another woman.

If he was an officer, the officers usually had their own cook. The officer’s cooks were pulled out of cooking school during training since they were better than the regular cooks for the enlisted men.

True dat.

I once dated a guy who was a cook for the officers in the RAF.

Haute cuisine every day.

No he was a PFC in a combat engineering Battalion.

I have seen a few photos of them all sitting around eating out of their mess kits and sure enough, they look happy.

You can just tell they are contented.

“Army food in WWII was the best he ever had”

Actually, I love SOS...even today.

If she were smart, she’d add a bit of ground glass to his late food. And make sure the entree is Alpo.

I think the secret is, after being married , and living together you know what each other likes.

I eat everything my wife fixes me as well, because she feeds me food she knows I like.
I do the same for her.

Two more years will be 30 for us, and there isn’t much, if anything, we don’t know about each others likes and dislikes.

At this point I have become convinced we have some sort of psychic bond. I can’t count the number of times I have been thinking of something, and she will mention the very thing I was thinking.
Freaks me out occasionally.

You know something which is even stranger. As good a cook as Mother was, Daddy always claimed Army food in WWII was the best he had ever had.

I was reading about his Battalion’s history and noted that their cooks had won an award as having the best mess in the division. Maybe their Army cooks really were that good.

When I enlisted at age 18, I was 6’ tall and weighed 138 pounds soaking wet. When I got out 4 yrs. later, still 6’ tall but weighed 222 pounds (Solid muscle). Now I’m 70 and weigh 200 pounds but it’s not all muscle anymore..

He’s 57, she’s 25, and he married her for her cooking?

An old man once told me never marry for sex; instead, marry a woman who is a good cook. No matter how old you are you’ll always get hungry.
