Solar scientists predict that the Earth will enter a "mini ice age" around 2030 due to decreased activity by the sun, which will bring with it frigid cold winters. The last time the Earth experienced a similar situation occurred between 1645 and 1715.

There was a Conan I. Conan I. (The Crooked) Duke of Brittany was born about 944, in Rennes, Bretagne, France. He married Ermengarde d’Anjou in France. They had one child during their marriage. He died in 992 in Conquereuil, Pays de la Loire, France, at the age of 48.

A bit later on the timeline so probably not related to this massacre.
