"Easter was added" ... I think you're not getting it. "Easter" is a name for a holiday in English, Dutch, and some western German dialects. The name for the same holiday in languages related to Latin and Greek comes from the Hebrew word for "Passover". That's simply a fact; it's not even arguable.

What was "added," then, is that English speaking people started celebrating that holiday and proceeded to give it a name from their own language.

I think there was no God ordained celebration called Easter! It does not matter the language. Christ in no way shape, fashion, or form became a symbol of ages old spring orgies. Christ became our one and for all time Passover. Not some quick like a bunny spring rite, tagging it as Resurrection Day. Man devised the ritual, it did not come from God!
