As CNSNews.com reports, de Blasio said on Monday he wants to give “identification cards to illegal aliens allows them to feel like citizens and enjoy some of the same benefits as actual citizens.”
“We don’t want any of our fellow New Yorkers to feel like second-class citizens,” de Blasio was quoted as saying in a National Public Radio website article. “We don’t want them to feel left out.”
"In addition, de Blasio is promising more than just ID cards if illegal aliens come forward and sign up. “A free, one-year membership to 33 cultural institutions,” de Blasio said.

Totally agree. If deBlasio wants to ‘do good’ for the dispossessed in the world, then he should resign as mayor and do what many others do - go to a third world country and donate his time.

Exactly. This is the thing about the far left. They like to portray themselves as ‘saviors’ of the world and champions of ‘the people’, but many of them are in actuality just narcissists. Hillary has plenty of Clinton Foundation money she could use to help people, but that’s not enough for her. She wants to be President, because that makes her ‘special’. It’s not about helping people.

This is all about giving these “non 2nd class citizens” the vote.
So what does it matter if urban centers that are already in the bag for the Democrat party add a few million more leftist voters? It will matter a great deal if the National Popular Vote initiative succeeds. I suspect that’s going to magically come together right before the 2016 election.
The Progressive Left has no intention of surrendering the executive branch.

They DO want families to try to live off of low skilled jobs.
It is racist to impose SLAVE WAGES on LEGAL Immigrants and minorities, by flooding the labor market with ILLEGAL Immigrants.
So Liberals don’t have a problem with handing out free ID Cards for this type of nonsense, but suggest they should hand out cards for voter ID and watch them squeal like stuck pigs.
Want them to feel like citizens? Send them back home where they already are.

Typical liberal methodology, give them free stuff and they will be sure to vote for the ones who gave them all the handouts. And never realize they are actually being used as pawns in a bigger game. Same as blacks have been used for over 50 years.

So it’s racist to make people get ID to vote. But it’s not racist to target illegal aliens to give them IDs? The left is so confusing!
