Having been there not long ago, there are few places I'd rather not be than Portland, OR. Heck, I'd actually take Detroit over Portland (or Seattle for that matter). The two large cities of the Pacific northwest are downright hostile to Conservatives (particularly white Christians with Texas license plates) and its citizens are rude, in-your-face leftists. No wonder an avowed commie like Bernie Sanders has drawn big crowds there over the past couple of days.
My family in Grants Pass area are pretty conservative. The money and jobs are Portland the rest of the state is surviving paycheck to paycheck...Portland could care less about them.
Seattle has a statue of Lenin. I rest my case.
