A national poll released Tuesday by Monmouth University found a majority of people support Planned Parenthood, although that support has eroded since the videos have been released in the last several weeks.
The poll said that 47 percent of registered voters opposed Republican efforts to cut off federal funding to the organization, compared with 42 percent who favored an end to U.S. support. In a February 2012 Quinnipiac University poll, only 31 percent supported ending federal funding for Planned Parenthood while 60 percent opposed it.
