Economists say he wouldn't stand a chance: Trump's boundless self-confidence is no match for the global economic forces that took those jobs away.

I haven’t been able to find a decent can opener for 20 years since China took over small item production.
Those jobs were not TAKEN away, they were DRIVEN away by stupid greedy tax laws and by import/ export regs that made it mandatory for them to leave in order to survive.
Then there’s the greedy union bosses, too. The workers at Caterpillar in York, PA crapped in their own nest by demanding, demanding, demanding, until after one too many demands, Caterpillar left town. And a few years later the Harley workers came within a frog hair of doing the same thing. Happily, cooler heads prevailed and Harley is still in York.
Trump will not be able to keep union workers from demanding themselves out of a job, but he can certainly rectify most of the tax stupidity, etc., and the jobs will come back. IMHO.
Well, their track record is about the same as the Global Warming experts .... NYC is not under 20 meters of water?

Well stated. It is INCREDIBLE how many people can’t figure this out. Wages are a factor in production cost, ONE FACTOR. There are a LOT of other factors.
A BIG FACTOR is the cost of doing business with the Chinese Government and the overall corruption there...not to mention the cost of setting up shop there. Not to mention what a pain in the butt it is to fly over there multiple times, after having seen the Wall, the Square, and the Bund.
But business still comes out ahead over there...and there is NOBODY TO BLAME, but ourselves - starting with EPA, OSHA, Unions, and going on and on.
only Donald Trump really understand how China is destroying the USA in many ways . China has stolen complete industries away from the USA. and they did it mainly by currency manipulation and other unfair trade practices.
Look at how one industry the fracking boom has lifted areas of North Dakota and Texas to new heights economically. Computers , cell phones, all kinds of tech, robots , machines etc. all gone to China.
It amazes me that many idiots bash someone like Trump who is a billionaire and a million times smarter than these dorks, some even on here. these losers and the 9 dwarves for example have no clue what currency manipulation is or how it works but they bash their better Trump when these morons have no clue about anything
