Just checked - only incoming is free; outgoing comes with the paid service: http://www.efax.com/efax-free/signup

I’ll have to say that faxes in business are now rare. Scanning and sending as email attachments is much more common these days. I average less than one fax a year; ten scanned documents wouldn’t be a heavy day. Do you really need a fax?

We receive at least 20 pages every day from our clients, sometimes more. Used to use efax but because of problems, poor service and increasing rates with efax switched to Ring Central. Have an 800 number and faxes come direct to our email. If we find we need one that we have already deleted, we can go to Ring Central and just download it again. Also send about 20-30 per week.

In our line of business faxes are obviously not rare.

I had the totally free eFax service for 10 years. When they changed their plan to charge for outgoing, I dumped it and switched to emailing pdf.
