Winner of six Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Scofield.

This one is a feast for lovers of good dialogue. Scofield's More is sublime, and the perfect counterpoint to Shaw's force-of-nature portrayal of Henry VIII. A gorgeous film to look at, too. 8/10

Surprised it is not at least 9 out of 10. After all, the film won six Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor.

And that was back when the awards meant something.
