Moon brighter than normal tonight, a blue moon ?
What does the space station look like flying in the sky ?
I saw something flying in the sky brighter than a airplane and it didn't have blinking lights.

The Cable Crossing Fire is making it difficult to see anything tonight. It’s still early though.

The last flyby at 9:15 Central was pretty good, here in North Texas. I was able to capture it on my iPhone.
Check out the website iss.astroviewer.net. The next several days have great viewing opportunities. It came in handy when we were in Charleston two weeks ago. It was awesome standing on the beach watching it pass by.
There'a a five minute flyby at 10:51 tonight Central Time, traveling west to northeast.
I'm the only one in my family that still gets a charge out of seeing it. It's their loss.

You mean near the moon? Every evening there are various satellites visible near dusk, and we were watching the moon from Chitown, here, and I fired up my Starry Night and saw quite a number of satellites near the moon.
I couldn’t spot any of them, though, because the moon is so bright! BTW, it will be at its mathematically fullest around dawn, 7/31, so all the newspapers say the full moon is on that date, but it is more full tonight than it will be tomorrow night ... “Trust me I know what I’m doing”
If you can narrow down the time frame, I can jump to the east coast in a click and take a look.

Dr. Hans Zarkov: What do you find? The moon out of orbit?
Munson: By more than 12 degrees. This must be some sort of mistake.
Dr. Hans Zarkov: No, it's no mistake... IT'S AN ATTACK! I've been right all these years!
