I have six backflow prevention connections. Each year I must have them certified as functioning by a licensed master plumbing contractor. The best I can get on price is $50 each valve. To install new ones every year, which would be cheaper, I cannot because the county requires permits be pulled and code enforcement perform rough in and final inspections while the plumber has to wait for the inspector to show up. They only give a day, not a time.Ignoring the postcard I get to have the master plumber fill out and sign will run me a fine of over $1,000 for that many connection violations.
