Not really.

I disagree. I body build and I'm a Pharmacologist/Toxicologist and I know the risks. The high calorie diet can foment issues but it's the other supplements. Not everyone has the natural inclination to get to the upper tier of muscled physique, getting up there requires a lot of "support". The stuff taken to get around the ban on illegal stuff comes with a lot baggage.

I do agree with your assessment of physiques - I too prefer the "old school look".

Nice to have someone else on one of these threads that knows what the heck they are talking about.

Too often, it's just a bunch of "drugs 'r bad, hm'kay" types spouting off something they heard from someone else gleaned from an idiotic headline.

The things the Pro's do to cut weight, thin their skin, pump the vascularity, etc... take an enormous toll on everything else. It isn't just the roids and HGH.

Burn bright, die young. Goes for pretty much any kind of physical activity where the human body is pushed to it's limits.

I lift, but I'm not trying for a pro card either. Not my circus, not my monkeys.
