The last Republican to win the Mayor’s office in Pittsburgh was in 1929 (Charles Kline). When the Dems won it in 1933, they have held it continuously ever since. The last time there was a “competitive” election was in 1965, and the GOP candidate got only 37.5%.

Look like the GOP candidate got almost 35% back in the 2007 special election, Mark DeSantis. Sounds like a rich businessman.

In ‘09 the winning rat had the ballot GOP line, I didn’t know PA allowed fusion. In ‘13 the GOP guy (sounds like a nobody) got only 11% and change.
