Because of that, the GOP candidates have been forced to do more to get their names out there.
Ted Cruz called out Mitch McConnell for lying to Republicans on the Senate floor.
I don't see this as Cruz being forced to "up his game". I see it as Cruz taking the opportunity to knock McConnell while he cannot get enough oxygen to control the narrative. Trump is effectively providing cover fire while Cruz and Lee do the lifting in the Senate.

Agreed. The call out of McConnell was Cruz being Cruz.
I just wish some of the other Senators would grow a spine and stand up to the corrupt tyrant.
