I agree completely, I’m sick of the politically correct terms everybody and his dog seems to be using these days...
reach out
boots on the ground
have a “conversation”
moving forward
at the end of the day
I started emailing everybody on Fox a few months ago, starting with Bill O’Reilly, requesting that they stop using the phrase “boots on the ground”. A couple of weeks later he told Ed Henry, white house correspondent, the term had been banned on his show. Good.. I don’t know if it had anything to do with my emailing him 3 times, I was just glad to see someone start paying attention. Since then I’ve noticed it seems to be much less commonly used.
O’Reilly did a segment about this a couple of weeks ago, listing several of these phrases, initiated by someone saying “at the end of the day”. It seems he doesn’t like that phrase. The ones I listed were those I can remember, and I’m sick of the politically correct pinheads in the media all rushing to use the latest politically correct phrases.
You may think it’s cool to use all the latest politically correct catch phrases, I think it makes you look too damn dumb to think up something of your own to say...
Yeah the term is “contacted”...
Amen! And let's add "share" as in, I have some information I'd like to share with you.
