Trump is nothing more than an opportunist, a narcissist, and a self-promoter.

Remember, this is someone who once said he supports abortion

This is someone who once said he supports gun control

This is someone who once said he supports universal healthcare

This is someone who tried to use eminent domain to evict a woman from her home so he could build a limo parking lot

This is someone who have given more to Democrats than Republicans

This is someone who just recently supported Clinton

This is someone who has said he wants Oprah as his VP

Trump’s candidacy is nothing more than a way for Trump to promote his brand: himself. Trump doesn’t actually really stand for anything (which is why there is no “issues” section on his website).

Trump just wants to capitalize on some horrible economic fallacies that sound good in order for him to seem like a “man of the people.” He’s decided to run his campaign on nothing more than populism and what he thinks people want to hear. People don’t like China? Okay, despite my clothing brand being made in China, China’s trade is bad because getting things for cheap is bad! People don’t like jobs being “sent overseas?” Okay, despite me closing down businesses and outsourcing, I now support forcing companies to stay in the country! His policies are entirely indistinguishable from any other form of leftist “my country first” fascism at the expense of all common sense about economics.

Trump’s not a serious candidate and you guys should stop pretending he is one. This isn’t me just attacking him because he’s a “front-runner.” This isn’t me just attacking him because he’s “telling the truth.” He’s simply just that bad.

Trump is nothing more than an opportunist, a narcissist, and a self-promoter.

And this makes him different from most of the field of candidates....how?

Oh, please. We have had 12 straight years of incompetence, perversion, lying and un-American activities.

Having a genuine narcissist with management skills will be leap upward in comparison.

Go shill for Jeb or Hillary.

Trumpies should keep in mind that The Donald is part of the Washington Cartel of which Ted Cruz speaks. He is all for buying influence with millions of dollars.

He is also pro-choice, pro-gay, pro-gun control, pro-amnesty, pro-BigGov. This is what we want?

Substitute the name Obama for Trump and the statement is spot-on.

yep...again...no one can tell me how Trump can be possibly worse than what we have now...although I’d rather have Cruz or Walker.

“Go shill for Jeb or Hillary.”

Yes, because this post is so very pro-Hillary and John Ellis...

If only you posted with the same passion about Bonehead, McConnell,
Ryan, and the rest of the GOP hacks.

However, unlike Trump, these GOP hacks actually have the power to do
something. They have done nothing but spit on conservatives.

You express your passion to someone who has no political power
instead of directing it to those who do have power, but do nothing with it.

He’s an opponent of gay marriage and became pro-life when a friend who had a troubling pregnancy (potential damage to baby) decided to go to term and the baby turned to be a wonderful, healthy little girl.

Trump is to Conservatives what 'Brobama' was to liberals. Just like 'Brobama' he is throwing red meat out and many conservatives are gobbling it up, but I assure you 5 minutes after he stepped into Oval Office all those promises would disappear as fast as they did with 'Brobama'.

I can't wait for the Youtube video which will be like the the one of the liberal black lady gushing over 'Brobama' and talking about him paying her rent and food and gas, but it will be some middle aged Tea Partier giddy over Trump saying:

"No more illegals and those here shipped back, and a secure wall will now be built and Mexico has to pay for it all!"

I wonder how long before I am told that this is a 'Bushie' Pro 'Brobama' post?

Really?? Have you read “The Art of the Deal” (1986) by D.Trump. He said then how sick he was of corrupt, incompetent politicians. He also said that by that time he had already made enough money and had enough accomplishments... what he wanted to do was to give back to this great country. Whatever Trump is, he is no phony. Do NOT bother answering me if you haven’t read the book. I mean, feel free to opine all you like, but not to me...

Good, Trump's not a serious candidate, so now all the rest of the GOP field will start campaigning for all those who have found Trump's not serious candidacy and his mostly double digit lead in the polls vs the rest of the field to have sparked their interest.

Oh, look, Jebber’s campaigning is to call anything having to do with dealing with the illegal alien issue ‘racist’, Walker's stumbling around on the issue, Rubio’s waiving the racist red card on the field and the lone voice of reason, Ted Cruz, is called ‘the impossible dream’ and ‘won't go far this election season.’

Stop wasting your time telling us how ‘unviable’ or ‘which campaign is real or fake’ and START CAMPAIGNING FOR OUR VOTES.

I swear, the GOPe is doing everything possible to destroy the party at the national level. And I feel really bad for all those who are pumping cash into Jebber & Rubio, as this ‘not real campaign’ is steamrolling right through their big cash liberal lite agenda.

Having a genuine narcissist with management skills will be leap upward in comparison.

So instead of using eminent domain to low-ball a few dozen people for personal profit, he can do it to tens of thousands of people, thereby making himself rich as Croesus? I'm not a big fan of pols, but my sense is that they're not exclusively self-interested. Trump, however, has not shown that he's anything other than a self-serving businessman.

Trump says he can't be bought. Maybe in running for office, he's just cutting out the middleman (lobbyists) and the competition (other wealthy donors pushing for perks antithetical to Trump's fortunes) to pursue his personal interests. The real question for someone like Trump is whether he can be influenced by the people who vote for him or whether his actions will be driven purely by personal interest and/or whim, which may not necessarily be aligned with his public statements during his run for office.

For instance, Trump sure employs a lot of Hispanics with authentic-looking documents. Any illegal immigration crackdown would probably send a good number of these workers packing, thereby increasing his labor costs. Is he really against amnesty or for it?

Trump hasn’t been elected to anything. He has no power to affect change.
Period.
