I've tried both and they don't work for what I need. Personal weather stations for example.
Change for change sake is NOT always for the good, I agree. I also believe that resisting change just to resist it is also not good.
Heck, I wish I still had my '56 Plymouth Savoy wagon, '58 Buick Invicta wagon or my '67 Mustang convertible.
Right now I drive a '98 Durango that I LOVE but it's time to let go.
I grew up with something similar to this but don't miss it for a minute.
[[would be fine with us all being absorbed by the Apple/Linux Borg.]]
Been trying all kinds of distros of Linux- can’t stand them

I’m not against change- but when I buy a car, I expect the gas pedal to be on the floor- not In the glove compartment or hidden under the carpet somewhere- Windows 97, windows 98, windows xp, windows 7 all have perfectly functional start menues which didn’t need to be messed with or to have functions removed from it- Some htigns should be universal, like the position of a gas pedal in a vehicle, or the rearview mirror, or the blinker lever- they shouldn’t be continually moved around just for the sake of change-
I also do NOT like being forced into automatic updates for a myriad of reasons, nor do I like the prospect of possible move to a cloud based service where we have to pay monthly fees- although this is just speculation at this point on this issue-
I’m not against change- but I AM all for leaving what works alone, or at the very least give users the choice to use the TRUE classic menu- and not some abominable hybrid mix
There’s also an issue with ‘phone home’ apps which I’m not crazy about- but that’s a separate issue-
