No thanks. They were too lazy and incompetent the first time around and I highly doubt they learned anything since.

A friend makes her own ice-cream. Nothing Ive bought in the store compares to it. She uses real cream and regular milk. Those are the only ingredients. I find myself wondering why, since its so simple to make, cant a manufacturer come up with something at least as tasty? Because you eat the home-made just after it's made. It doesn't need to stand up to sitting in a freezer for months after being transported across the country.
My wife occasionally would make her own whipped cream. Heavy cream and powdered sugar. Let the mixer go for a while. Best stuff ever.

Ala-bama is bit far to drive, but I'll be staking out the Brenham plant, following the 1st truck to its destination.
Thanks for the update.

Wow !!! Beat me to it. Nothing like a thick chocolate shake and a Bernice burger.
Whenever we gat back to CT we try to time our arrival for lunch at the original spot on 44 at the Bolton /Manchester line. Lots of my friends from HS worked there.

why ... cant a manufacturer come up with something at least as tasty? They can. But you'd pay $25 a quart for it.

“Blue Bell is now full of corn syrup and other crud.”
How do you know that? Why would Blue Bell want to change the taste of their ice cream? The taste is the reason for its appeal.
Their ice cream could survive a modest price increase if it’s needed for them to be profitable.
Blue Bell is the best ice cream I’m aware of.

"Hey! You! Im in the freezer, waiting for you."
I'm Diabetic, and I know that call VERY WELL.
I totally understand, and if that's you're situation, you'd better NOT try Blue Bell French Vanilla.
It's easier to resist what you haven't tasted.
As for the assault weapon, I have that same problem also.
But I recommend you buy MORE AMMO FIRST.

How do you know that?
I read the ingredients. BB now uses lower cost and lower quality ingredients like high fructose corn syrup to save money.

I’ve found the same thing. Good stuff HEB but I don’t get much ice cream these days. My wife doles out a pint for a special treat once in awhile.

I found some Blue Bell here in Oregon last summer. I tried the Rocky Road.
It was not very good, compared to the local northwest brand I usually buy, whose name escapes me right now.
I don’t bring ice cream home anymore. The others in my house have a fat and sugar problem.

Blue Bell’s use of High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS)
Here’s part of the Wikipedia article on HFCS:
“Some Americans seek out Mexican Coca-Cola because they prefer the taste compared to Coca-Cola in the U.S. which is made with HFCS. Kosher for Passover Coca-Cola sold in the U.S. around the Jewish holiday also uses sucrose rather than HFCS and is also highly sought after by people who prefer the original taste.”
The main reason that HFCS is cheaper than sucrose is because of the cheapness and price stability of corn.
I hope Blue Bell’s new formulation tastes as good as the old one.

Some Americans seek out Mexican Coca-Cola because they prefer the taste compared to Coca-Cola in the U.S. which is made with HFCS. Kosher for Passover Coca-Cola sold in the U.S. around the Jewish holiday also uses sucrose rather than HFCS and is also highly sought after by people who prefer the original taste. There is a conspiracy theory that says that "New Coke" was introduced so that Coca-Cola could replace the sugar with HFCS, and that New Coke was so bad, that when they brought back "Classic" Coke with the HFCS, nobody could tell the difference, they were just glad "New Coke" was gone.
