China technically lifted its longstanding ban on game consoles last year, but only for companies that registered in the Shanghai free trade zone. Needless to say, that put a damper on sales in the world's most populous country. However, the gloves just came off -- China's Ministry of Culture has approved the manufacture and sale of consoles anywhere in the nation. Companies like Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony no longer have to hold back ... when doing business. Not smart...they’ll wind up having to flood their country with Illegals from Indonesia or some place like that because their youths will all become video game addicts - no different than here. We can get away with it, since we all believe that world revolves around us and nothing stupid we do (like disarm) can hurt us. China, however, is in the process of supplanting us as a world power, so they do need to keep on game.

I predict they’ll reverse this short-sighted decision.
