Economic forecaster Martin Armstrong, who is known for having accurately predicted major events like the Savings & Loan crash, the collapse of Japanese financial markets and the destruction of the Russian economy almost to the day, says that a major turning point is coming to the global paradigm this October. While stopping short of calling for an all out crash, Armstrongs cyclical turning point of 2015.75 suggests that very big changes are set to take place.
But how do you prepare for the uncertainty of whats to come?
Armstrong says youd better have some cash on hand for short-term disruptions, just in case your financial institution shuts down like they did in Greece:

Cash on hand....and a way to defend yourself from assault/robbery.
The problem is the amount of cash dollars to get you through 3 months today will be quite insufficient to get you through 3 months of even a “short-term disruption” as prices will skyrocket. We’ve all seen how gas prices can double overnight. Multiply that by all products as fuel prices dictate all consumer prices and delivery dates.
When only cash is exchanged, house payments and car payments should be ignored. For three months of shut down, nothing will happen to the things on payment plans. The cash in reserve is strictly for immediate needs like fuel and food. ... We should already have the ammo and tools to use it in.
Yah. Better to have food and water on hand. Put that cash to work now. Food, water, TP, rubber gloves, and so on.
one point the prices skyrocket when there is plenty of money(velocity) and that is not true when banks are locked down. I do believe their is a short term when cash is king...
I adjusted my ‘stash’ today......c-notes will not be helpful in keeping a low profile!
I think it goes without saying that your residence should be geared up with necessities, entertainment, food and beverages enough so that as you used them your day-to-day expenses would be minimal.
a case of half pint Kentucky Deluxe burbon will be worth their weight in gold.
...also, keep your gas tanks full in your cars. Fill up when they reach 1/2 tank.

I know a guy who has 10 cases of half pint liquor stashed away.
Yes, we had c-notes in our emergency cash and exchanged them for $20’s. We probably need to go lower bills than that. Fives or ones.
Smart guy...
+1 and some gas for your generator.....
And the great thing is, unopened bourbon lasts forever. Good for a year once opened.
If there was a way to indefinitely preserve tobacco, I would lay in a few cases of cigarettes. That would be a great barter item under that scenario.
You want to seriously be ready for barter: liquor, tobacco and toilet paper. With those things you can trade for anything. Sex will be very easy to come by if you are well stocked with these 3 things.
Yep, 10s, 5s and 1s for me now too.
Been off the stuff for 10 years. Can you still get sealed cans of Bugler Tobacco? If so I need to load up on some of those and some baggies...
